WHAT'S NEW WITH US...
The South Carolina (SCHEA) convention went really well. It was really nice to see new faces and meet some real friendly people. We've been busy getting the house in order, entertaining our neighbors with a "get-to-know-you" party and gearing up for our next convention, across the nation in Phoenix, Arizona from July 17th-19th. While we're there we'll be visiting family and going on some great field trips, including Old Mesilla in Las Cruces, NM and the Grand Canyon.
We are really excited about the growth of Brodsky Ministries. God has really blessed us and we are honored to be able to minister to homeschooling families all around the country and right here in our new hometown. This year we were able to produce a new 60-page catalog! If you have not seen one of these yet, please drop us a note and we would be happy to send you one!
One of Brodsky Ministries' signature pieces is our much-loved "No, I'm not Playing Hooky..." t-shirt. We are excited to now offer this great shirt in white with blue lettering, as well as the traditional dark green with white letters. Click here for more info!
PRODUCT UPDATE
Speaking of the Grand Canyon...we've got some great resources on it - from a Biblical perspective! These materials should be studied before you go visit, since I've heard that the tour guides talk about the millions of years it took for the Grand Canyon to form! HEALTHY RECIPES FROM LINDA'S KITCHEN
Since we're in a Southwest mode with our upcoming trip to Arizona, I thought these would be a few great recipes to share! Meatless Tacos
Ingredients: 1 pkg. Veggie Ground
1/2 can Mexican style stewed tomatoes
1 Tsp. of Ortega Taco Seasoning Mix (no MSG in this brand)
Fixin's such as tomatoes, lettuce, onions
Taco shells
Directions: Cook the Veggie Ground for approximately 5 minutes, turning and breaking it up in the pan. Add the stewed tomatoes and cook 5 minutes more. Add the seasoning mix and cook for another 5 minutes. Serve with fixin's on tacos. Enjoy!
Meatless Burritos
Ingredients: 1 can Lowfat refried beans
1 can Regular refried beans
Dash of cumin (to taste)
Dash of chili powder (to taste)
Fixin's such as tomatoes, lettuce, onions
Directions: Place beans in frying pan, put heat on low. Add spices. Heat for a few minutes and serve with fixin's on burritos. (Try honey wheat, spinach and other burritos for variety and taste) Enjoy!
Mexican Rice
Ingredients: Wild Rice Mix
1/2 can Mexican Style stewed tomatoes
Cook 1 part rice to 2 parts boiling water. After rice is cooked, add tomatoes, stir and serve. Enjoy!
