I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and you are well under way with
your Christmas plans. I have been singing in the special project Christmas
Choir at church and it has been a lot of fun. Victoria did some interpretive
movement, along with some other girls (and a couple of males!) to one of the
songs we sang and it went beautifully. Many people were really touched by it
and told us that it made them cry. Next week we are singing the Hallelujah
Chorus - Brooklyn Tabernacle style! I can't wait - it's really a fun piece to
sing. Speaking of Handel and the Hallelujah Chorus, Mark took me to see the
Charleston Symphony Orchestra perform Handel's Messiah - it was wonderful.
What an incredible piece of music. I listen to it all year long!
We bought a couple of live trees this year again - one Mark actually had to
cut down himself! Gasp! Well, the farmer was cutting it down to make way for
blueberry trees anyway...so....
Here's a picture of Mark, David and Victoria, shortly after Mark performed the deed!
Last week we all went to the nursing home with our church to sing to the
residents there. It looks like they really enjoyed our visit! It's such a
depressing place to visit - I want the children to make sure they see how sad
it is so they will remember NOT to send us there when we're old!
Mark is playing Santa - or rather, playing someone who is playing Santa! in
the Christmas play on December 26th. I will be sure to include pictures of
that in January's newsletter!
I CORINTHIANS 13 "CHRISTMAS VERSION"
I received this e-mail and thought it would be great to pass along...
"If
I decorate my house perfectly with plaid bows, strands of twinkling
lights and shiny balls, but do not show love to my family, I'm just another decorator. If I slave away in the kitchen, baking dozens of Christmas cookies, preparing gourmet meals and arranging a beautifully adorned table at mealtime: but do not show love to my family, I'm just another cook. If I work at a soup kitchen, carol in the nursing home, and give all that I have to charity; but do not show love to my family, it profits me nothing. If I trim the spruce with shimmering angels and crocheted snowflakes, attend a myriad of holiday parties and sing in the choir's cantata but do not focus on Christ, I have missed the point. Love stops the cooking to hug the child. Love sets aside the decorating to kiss the spouse. Love is kind, though harried and tired. Love doesn't envy another's home that has coordinated Christmas china and table linens. Love doesn't yell at the kids to get out of the way, but is thankful they are there to be in the way. Love doesn't give only to those who are able to give in return; but rejoices in giving to those who can't. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. Video games will break, pearl necklaces will be lost, golf clubs will rust; But giving the gift of love will endure." ANNOUNCEMENTS

HEALTH NEWS
Ever since I found out about my low progesterone, I've been on a research
quest for the best progesterone cream out there. I have come to the
realization that if the progesterone cream I am rubbing on my skin can get so
easily absorbed that it changes my hormones, there must be other things out
there that I am putting on my skin, that is NOT good for me! As I research
and find the right cream, Brodsky Ministries will offer a progesterone cream
that we feel doesn't contain any harmful additives. Be sure to look for it
soon! We will also make it affordable, as I know it can get pretty
expensive!
Well, I have a lot of information for you these next coming months - I hope
you are ready! I'd like to keep it light this Christmas season, so let me
just say this - if you are a woman over the age of 30, get your progesterone
levels checked! You may not have any symptoms, just as I had none - until the
miscarriage. Don't let a miscarriage be your "symptom"! I wish I had known
about checking my progesterone levels before I was pregnant! Please don't
take this lightly, there seems to be many women who have miscarriages from low
progesterone. Progesterone also helps our bodies keep our bones strong, so if
you know someone who has osteoporosis, or you don't want to get osteoporosis,
I advise you to get on it immediately! Dr. John Lee (author of
What
Your Doctor Won't Tell you About Menopause) says that women should be on
progesterone until they are 98! Translation: They should be on it until they
die!
A HEALTHY RECIPE FROM LINDA'S KITCHENCinnamon Ornaments/Air Fresheners Well, this is one recipe you DON'T want to eat! Please make sure everyone knows they are just decorations! It is non-toxic, but it won't taste too good! I'm told that your kitchen will smell absolutely wonderful while making these! Ingredients:
Directions: This is a great gift to use as car fresheners, gift toppers, tree decorations, etc. I'll be sending these off to far-away relatives. And the best thing is - they keep for more than one season! PRAYER REQUESTS
We truly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you remember us with the
following requests:
PRAISES
We certainly couldn't ask for prayer requests without telling you of some
answered prayers! How could we give God the glory if we didn't share! We
praise Him for:
